Steve Sax was a late season call-up in 1981, playing 31 games that year and earning his first of two World Series rings with the Los Angeles Dodgers. On August 23, 1981, he started at second base for Los Angeles in a game at Busch Stadium against the Cardinals.
Sax hit a shot off St. Louis pitcher Bob Shirley for his first career home run. The ONL (Feeney) baseball shows solid game use is signed by Sax on the sweet spot in 9-10/10 blue ballpoint with a period notation (presumably from Sax or the Dodgers' clubby) describing his milestone. Ball comes with PSA/DNA authentication and a letter from Sax. STEVE SAX SIGNED GAME USED PERSONALLY OWNED CAREER HR #1 BASEBALL 8/23/1981 PSA.
