There's no question that Kobe's iconic career has now been immortalized in NBA history by his passing. The young superstars dominance in the NBA is without contention. His third season in 1998-99 began with the owner's lockout and ended with a solid partnership with Shaquille O'Neal that began the dynasty of the Lakers' Championships. Presented is an opportunity to capture one of the nicest representations of a game-issued Kobe Bryant jersey from that 1998-99 season.

The purple jersey was issued to Kobe during the shortened season for road games. The purple jersey has "LAKERS" across the chest in gold and white tackle twill above Kobe's "8" in matching colors and material. The back has "BRYANT" above his number "8" in white and gold tackle twill. The jersey features white/yellow/white ribbing around the neck and arm gussets is correct and is appropriately sized.

An NBA patch is sewn to the left shoulder. The tagging is correct in the tail and the size (50) is also correct for Kobe Bryant during this era. A Nike 1998-99 label is sewn inside the seam of the jersey. According to the authentication paperwork and although this is designated as issued, it shows moderate wear characteristics. For added value, the jersey was autographed centrally in red felt tip ("8") by Kobe Bryant. The jersey was evaluated and graded by MEARS - as an A5.
