Keith Havens Signed Jati Game (3m 1965) Laubvogel Specimen Complete

  
Here is rare opportunity to own one of the grails (and maybe THE grail) of 3M game collecting. A designer signed copy of a first edition (1965) Jati. From what little information is available, I can only guess that the designer (Minnesota artist and game designer Keith Havens) signed a small number of first edition copies for his family. Of that original group, only three or four are currently known to exist. This copy came from Germany and the great collection of the late Ingo Laubvogel.

I want to thank Lysander Laubvogel for his patience and understanding during the acquisition process. Unfortunately, circumstances have taken a turn and I must pass this treasure along to another owner. The photos were taken on a dark, cloudy day, but they still document the game's general condition well. The outer slipcover shows general wear to the edges and corners.

There are some linear scratches to the cover image running north and south from the tape mark down to the gentleman's left knee. And to the cover's right edge there are remains/wrinkles in the image from some long ago removed clear tape. The main condition issue is the piece of masking/clear tape on the cover.

It is the identifying mark that proves provenance. The inner box cover is intact (all four corners are solid) and in good condition. There are 18 playing pieces in four colors and eight black multipliers. The two 10 x 10 boards are flat with no cracks. The containers for the playing pieces are solid and excellent.

The insert is in good condition as well. The signature is strong and clear. Act now and add this extraordinarily rare gem to your collection.
