The ball has been signed under the World Series logo, with "2016 WS Champs" inscription, by team captain Anthony Rizzo, then of the Chicago Cubs, in blue ballpoint pen.

The autograph and inscriptions are guaranteed authentic and include Fanatics authenticity sticker and MLB game-used hologram affixed to the ball. Playing in their first World Series in 71 years, the Cubs faced elimination having found themselves down 3 games to 2 going into Game 6. The Cubs showed an unexpected power surge in this game winning 9-3 and sending the Series to a historic "winner-take-all" Game 7 the following night.

The Cubs would go on win Game 7 to secure its first World Championship since 1908 and ending the famous "Curse of the Billy Goat" once and for all! His 3-5 night, coupled with Kris Bryant's 4-5 outing, combined for a MLB Record for most hits (7) by 3-4 hitters in a lineup during a World Series Game.
